Being part of the community is very important to everyone at Rich’s. Owner, Rich Tkacz is involved in many civic organizations including the North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, Enfield Rotary Club, and is an active Allied Community Services Board Member. Rich encourages his staff to be as involved as they can in the community.

In August, the Rich’s staff conducted a month-long food drive which Rich’s staff delivered over 600 pounds of food, along with monetary donations totaling over $600 to the Enfield Food Shelf and Five Corner Cupboard in East Windsor.

Recently, Rich’s team conducted a turkey drive that resulted in over 100 turkeys donated to the Enfield Food Shelf and Five Corner Cupboard in East Windsor. Rich’s supported coffee for seniors at the Enfield Senior Center and became authorized by the State of Connecticut for the State Home Energy Audit Program to provide energy audits to Connecticut households.

When Extreme Makeover: Home Edition announced they were building a home in the Connecticut River Valley, the Rich’s team became actively involved. Rich’s staff was on hand beginning with the pep rally, working on-site, donating $1,000 in gift cards for patio furniture and delivering oil late one night when it was needed for construction equipment.
